Our copper and metal jewelry is made of a base metal with a thin layer of gold or silver plating. The term plating comes from a special electroplating technique that is applied by means of current that causes the color to adhere to this material. The layer of silver or gold stays better depending on the use of the jewelry. But it is also affected by skin pH, contact with cosmetics and chemicals, or prolonged contact with water. Our advice is therefore not to wear the jewelry during sports, swimming, sunbathing, showering, in the sauna.
